What you will need:
- Your previously completed agenda pages
- Waxed thread
- A fairly large needle
- A ruler or measuring tape
- A pencil
- An awl
Okay, so when we left off last time we had just completed all of our pages including cover and dividers. Now we are ready to turn these pages into a book. Pull one of your signatures/group of pages still folded in half like we left them before.
Grab your ruler and mark 4 dots on each end of the paper 3 quarters of an inch apart.
Now stack all of your pages in the order that they will be in your agenda minus the covers with the dotted page on top. Grab something with a straight edge and draw a line down from each dot.
Now you will open up your first signature flat like the picture below and take an awl and punch a hole on each mark that you mad with the pencil. Make sure you do this on any dividers that you made as well.
Now you will take your cover pages and line up one of your signatures about a quarter of an inch from the binding edge and make holes with your awl there as well.
Now your pages are ready for the actual binding process!
And here is where I will actually defer you all to a video. I found this fabulous YouTube video done by Sea Lemon that shows in depth how to do this process! It will take you step by step through how to do this. She has other videos on different ways to bind pages here. But for this specific method that I used you can click here. And here is my final product!
Enjoy your finished DIY agenda! If you enjoyed this blog please subscribe to email notifications when I post more. You can find that on the right hand bar of this page. Have a beautiful day!
